A comprehensive survey was conducted along the Wilderness Road to develop and plan for a heritage corridor driving tour incorporating over 250 sites along 5 routes that follow the early migration routes and settlement patterns through the valley of Virginia and beyond.  Extensive maps were developed and a unique brand was designed for the Wilderness Road: Virginia’s Heritage Migration Route. This brand was translated into a brochure and interpretive panels to be used by travelers along the route.
