Goochland County Courthouse is undergoing efforts to carefully restore historic buildings on their campus. The 1825 Old Stone Jail will serve as an educational site, helping to interpret its rich and unique history. Explorers Studio developed and designed the exhibits housed in the historic jail. The experiences and period specific restoration for each jail room are designed to be unique from one another. A re-creation of a two-story jail cell, interpretive exhibit panel displays and collected artifacts give the visitor varied ways to connect to the content.
